Key Elements of the WHO HiAP
Be sure to use the professional manuscript version for your cover page (not the student one)- see 7th edition APA manual, pg. 50
Cover page: The title of the paper is bold with an extra space between author (you) and affiliation (the University, dept., and course)
The running head needs to be the same as the title or abbreviated if it exceeds 50 characters and does not include words “Running Head”
Start page numbers on cover page top right
No abstract is required
Do not use the word “Introduction” as the header for your first section. Instead place the title of the paper bold and centered again
Start with a great introduction explaining what Social Justice is, what are social justice movements and then introduce your chosen social justice movement, and be sure to add the overall purpose of the paper
Spell out abbreviations the first time followed by abbreviation, like United States (U.S.)
Spell out any numbers if less than 10- (i.e., one versus 1)
Do not use I, me, my, we, our, etc in the paper- keep it in the 3rd person voice
All the lines need double spacing with no extra space between lines or before or after headers
PLEASE USE HEADERS!!! Have a header for every portion of grading rubric and keep them in the order listed on grading rubric
Be sure to add appropriate citations and then add the references in the back- I would like to see 3-5 references at a minimum using correct APA format
References are double spaced with no extra spaces between each reference
When adding a citation, take the time to then share your own thoughts and analysis and elaborate on that concept
In the policy and legislation section, list several local, State, or Federal changes or proposed changes in policies or legislation that resulted based upon your movement
Briefly describe the WHO HiAP. List and describe the five key elements of the WHO HiAP: promoting health and equity, supporting intersectoral collaboration, creating co-benefits for multiple partners, engage stakeholders, and creation of structural or process change. Describe how the policy makers considered or did not consider these steps when formulating the legislation or policies that you shared
And end with a great conclusion that summarizes your paper while not adding new information. Do not skimp on your conclusion
Most students lose points in the analysis of your chosen movement using your selected Social Justice Theory and the WHO Health in All Policies parts of the paper
