Assignment Title and Description of the Assignment:

 

Evidence of the link between Human Resources Management (HRM) and successful business outcomes

Critically evaluate how Human Resource Management (HRM) is integrated with the strategy of an organisation, critically exploring the role and impact of HRM with specific reference to the role of line managers in “adding value” to an organisation and contribute to business performance (Drawing on Ability Motivation and Opportunity (AMO) model).

 

Illustrate your answer with practical examples from at least two organisations and draw on relevant organisational strategy theories/models.

 

Marks Awarded for: 

Critical evaluation of the evidence that implementation of human resource management practices have delivered, or helped to deliver, value in organisations.

Provision of data that supports the view that HRM has added organisational value

Analysis of the importance of integration of business and Human Resources strategies

Critical evaluation of how line managers can contribute to a range of human resource management practices and contribute to business success.

For each day or part day up to five days after the published deadline, coursework relating to modules submitted late will have the numeric grade reduced by 10 grade points until or unless the numeric grade reaches 40 for levels 4, 5 and 6 or 50 for level 7 (PG).  If a submission is more than 5 working days after the published deadline, a grade of zero will be awarded.

Where the numeric grade awarded for the assessment is less than 40, no lateness penalty will be applied;
